Paper Sculptures
I started making paper sculptures after taking a class in pop-up book structures.

Although I liked making the pop-ups, I felt confined by the materials that would allow the pop-ups to lay flat when the book was closed. So I started making standalone "pop-ups" that I placed in handmade shadowboxes. This gives me the freedom to use a wider variety of materials and found objects in my sculptures.
